One of the more interesting productions to follow throughout this year has been Jurassic World: Dominion, which had quite the production following the beginnings of the Coronavirus pandemic. But, after a lot of painstaking effort, it seems the work of the film’s cast and crew finally paid off – as it was just announced that Jurassic World: Dominion has wrapped production. Director Colin Trevorrow broke the news to Deadline, where he gave an emotional statement.
“There are a lot of emotions,” Trevorrow explained.
At the time he made that statement, he was preparing to shoot the last of the movie – the film’s finale. And Deadline had some juicy info to share about the finale as well.
“Jurassic legacy actors Sam Neil, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum, Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard and newcomers to the movie such as Mamoudou Athie and DeWanda Wise [who we’ve separately heard could have a big role in future instalments]…and some dinosaurs, of course.”
As for the production itself:
“I’m not sure I can put it into words,” continues Trevorrow. “It has been remarkable. Our crew and our cast has been so resilient. All producers have worked around the clock to make it the best it can be. It has been inspiring.”
It truly does sound like a groundbreaking production, considering the circumstances everyone was operating under. It appears that Universal spent between 6 to 8 million dollars just on health protocols alone. In fact, 40,000 Coronavirus tests were administered – and an entire social bubble was maintained for those working on the film. But it seems everything has paid off – now we’ll just have to wait until 2022 to see the results.
In the meantime, there are some new behind the scenes photos – and they definitely appear as promising as one would hope for the latest Jurassic Park/Jurassic World film.
