Greetings fans and non-fans of Amazon’s hit show, The Boys. Every episode of the comic book adaptation this season has had its fair share of WTF moments and some of those were brought to you by Stormfront. The character, played by Aya Cash, balances the right amount of evil, comedy, and offers plenty more gore and violence the show is known for. However, it might be possible that the actress is interested in playing another comic book character if the planets are aligned just right.
Earlier this year, I sat down with Cash and discussed her role in Season Two of The Boys. During our talk, she let out which famous comic book character she would like to play if offered the role. Side Note: Homelander himself, Antony Starr, was there also during the interview. Starr was told that there has been a push from X-Men fans for the actor to take up the role of Wolverine – which he said he’d be interested in.
I turned the question over to Aya Cash to see if she would answer the call for Marvel’s MCU – and she talked about her love for the X-Men.
“Great! Tell them to call me. I’m avail. Yeah, I mean, I’m not opposed to doing any job at this moment. I mean, you know, we’re in a pandemic, sure. (Jokingly) Career goals out the window, let’s work. I grew up on X-Men. So, in my fantasy world, I’d be in that universe, the Phoenix Rising. I would have loved to be a part of the X-Men world. And if there’s another opportunity – X-Men Geriatrics – they can come to me whenever.”
When pressed further to be more specific, Cash said,
“I mean, I did just mention Jean Grey.”
She didn’t stop there, however. The young actress decided to have a bit more fun with a gender swap idea for one of her favorite X-Men characters.
“Yeah, but I also, I mean, my favorite character in all of the X-Men universe was always Beast. So, if we’re going to do gender swap – no, they would kill me. I don’t even want to do a gender swap.”
Yet, that wasn’t the of our X-Men talk. Cash gave her final list of who she would like to play in the MCU with,
“I’d do Rogue, Jean Grey, and Beast for my pick.”
I can totally see Aya Cash play as Jean Grey, Rogue, and even Beast. I mean, why not?
