It’s been awhile since The Haunting of Hill House first scared audiences on Netflix, but now series creator Mike Flanagan is bringing back the horror with an all new follow up miniseries titled The Haunting of Bly Manor. While audiences still have a few weeks to wait before the series finally premieres, Netflix has released an all new trailer for The Haunting of Bly Manor.
As with the first season, The Haunting of Hill House, it appears that The Haunting of Bly Manor will be introducing an equally large cast of characters for its epic ghost story. In fact, many of the cast members from The Haunting of Hill House are making a return in The Haunting of Bly Manor, as you can see in the new trailer below.

The footage is definitely cut together in a very powerful way, with the clips accompanied by a cover of Mötley Crüe’s Home Sweet Home. It’s an exciting tease for what’s to come, and hopefully it lives up to the expectations set by the previous season.
As for the story of this new season…
“The story tells of a young governess hired by a man to look after his niece and nephew at the family country house after they fall into his care. Arriving at the Bly estate, she begins to see apparitions that proceed to haunt the premises.”
Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Victoria Pedretti, Henry Thomas, and Kate Siegel will all return from the first season as new characters. They’ll be joined by several new cast members including Rahul Kohli, T’Nia Miller, and Amelia Eve.
This new season will also share several new directors working alongside season one director Mike Flanagan – Yolanda Ramke & Ben Howling, Ciarán Foy, Liam Gavin, and Axelle Carolyn.
Audiences can expect The Haunting of Bly Manor to hit the Netflix streaming platform on October 8th.
