Black Adam has been a villain at times, a hero at others, but has always followed his own path throughout his long tenure in DC. Now, as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson brings the character to life in his origin film, Black Adam, he won’t be alone. Shown today at DC Fandome, the Justice Society of America will be joining him on the silver screen! And, while we already knew of the addition of Atom Smasher to the film, we now know the other members joining the fray!

Thanks to a great teaser video shown at the panel, we see that Hawkman, Dr. Fate, and Cyclone join Atom Smasher in the Justice Society of America. Hawkman and Dr. Fate have such rich histories in the comics, and while they have been seen a few times on the small screen, getting them on the big screen will be a treat, to say the least. The JSA will try and act as a moral compass for Black Adam, whose sees justice his way, and goes for it, no mater what.
The JSA has a long standing in the comics, predating even the Justice League, and look to bring an interesting dynamic to Black Adam as he toes the line between hero and villain. And, as a fan, getting to see Hawkman soar across the screen and Dr. Fate’s ancient magic in use will be exciting, to say the least. And Atom Smasher, played by Noah Centineo, with his ability to grow in size and strength, as well as Cyclone, whose powers are right there in her name, we be the new recruits to the team, adding another dynamic as shapeable heroes who could possibly lean more towards Black Adam’s view of totalitarian tactics.
Whatever happens, seeing the JSA in this film is an amazing additive to an already highly anticipated flick. I, for one, can’t wait to see who is cast and what these characters will look like on the big screen.
