The Coronavirus pandemic has everyone anxious for things to go back to normal, or at least enough so that production can resume on some of Hollywood’s biggest upcoming projects. One such project is the currently untitled Spider-Man 3, the film which acts as a sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Luckily, however, production seems to finally be moving forward on the sequel – and now we have a new returning cast member confirmed for the film. It might not be that big of a surprise, but fans can indeed expect actor Tony Revolori to return as Flash Thompson in Spider-Man 3.
As explained by Deadline, who broke the news about Tony Revolori returning as Flash Thompson for Spider-Man 3:
“As productions get back up and running, Revolori will be busy shooting on the TV and film front, starting with the second season of Servant followed by the next installment of the Spider-Man franchise.”
It certainly sounds like Revolori will be keeping busy, and it’s expected that the other past Spider-Man cast members will be as well. For example, Tom Holland will be busy finishing up work for Uncharted. Meanwhile it’s also been expected that cast members Jacob Batalon and Zendaya will be returning as Ned Leeds and MJ, respectively.
We’ll more than likely have additional news on the upcoming Spider-Man 3 as production continues to catch up. So with that in mind, stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any updates on the movie as we have them. There currently any plot details given, but as casting continues and shooting begins, we should hopefully have a better idea of what the highly anticipated sequel will be about. Until then, we’ll all have to be patient – but at least it’s finally starting to get in front of the camera.
The upcoming sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home, tentatively dubbed Spider-Man 3, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 will be hitting theaters on December 17, 2021, and October 7, 2022, respectively.
