The Coronavirus continues to ravage people across the globe, with its highly-contagious nature changing everyday life in unprecedented ways. Along with the hundreds of thousands US citizens that have contracted the Coronavirus (or COVID19), several notable celebrities have also contracted the viral disease. Forrest Gump star Tom Hanks, Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell, and Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller are some of the key figures who have contracted the disease, with some now worrying about Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman’s health after a recent Instagram post.
In a video discussing his partnership with the Operation 42 charity, fans noticed that Chadwick Boseman has experienced dramatic weight loss since portraying Black Panther. It is important to note however that the actor’s figure has continued to shrink, with rumors circulating that he could be preparing for a new project. Check out Boseman’s video along with his message about Operation 42.
“Celebrating #JackieRobinsonDay with the launch of Thomas Tull’s #Operation42, a donation of 4.2 million dollars in personal protective equipment (PPE) to hospitals that service the African American Communities who have been hit the hardest by the Covid-19 pandemic. Thank you, Jackie, for refusing to accept the world as it is, for showing us that we can make a difference.”
As you can see in the comment section, fans seem worried. While it’s natural for people to jump to extreme conclusions, I think Boseman is likely in good shape despite his changing image. Actors often change their figure to fit certain roles more effectively, so weight gain/loss is often commonplace in the industry. Boseman should be celeberated for his continued effort to support the hospital industry at this time, with equipment becoming more scarce by the day as case numbers go up. Hopefully, more celebrities will follow his positive message and donate to this vital cause.
