One of the most anticipated upcoming Marvel films is Thor: Love and Thunder, which will see Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi behind the camera once again. Obviously his involvement has plenty of fans excited, considering Ragnarok is considered by many to be the best Thor movie yet. But now a new bit of news from actor Vin Diesel might be enough to get fans hyped for a completely different set of reasons – as it turns out, Thor: Love and Thunder apparently includes “some of the Guardians of the Galaxy.”
Vin Diesel revealed that some of the Guardians would be returning in Thor: Love and Thunder while speaking in a new interview.

“The director talked to me about,” Diesel said, referring to Taika Waititi. “Thor will incorporate some of the Guardians of the Galaxy…which will be very interesting… maybe I shouldn’t have said anything.”
While we still don’t know how exactly they’ll be used together with Thor, Vin Diesel did share some additional information regarding his character Groot. Of course, it’s not much to go by, but apparently this version of Groot will be what he calls “Alpha Groot.” Perhaps we’ll be getting closer to seeing Groot as he was depicted in the original Guardians of the Galaxy? Only time will tell. Nevertheless, it does seem to be an interesting installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – and one that should nicely expand not just the universe of Thor but for the Guardians of the Galaxy as well. Perhaps it’ll also set up Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?
Taika Waititi will be directing Thor: Love and Thunder, which currently stars Chris Hemsworth reprising his role of Thor, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster aka the female Thor, and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie. Christian Bale is attached to play the film’s villain.
The movie is set to hit theaters on November 5, 2021.
