Audiences have been excited for the new comic book adaptation Bloodshot, which sees star Vin Diesel in the lead role. They’ve also been curious about the degree of violence and content which will be depicted in the film, and as we now know, Bloodshot will be rated PG-13.
Here’s the official MPAA rating summary:
“Intense sequences of violence, some suggestive material and language.”
Hopefully the new PG-13 rating won’t have much of an effect on the movie’s ability to translate the content of the comics to the big screen. But given how much PG-13 has been capable of getting away with, things might just work out for the new comic book adaptation. Of course, after the success of films like Joker, it seems surprising they weren’t comfortable with giving the film an R rating. Perhaps the movie will turn out just fine without it.
In the new film titled Bloodshot…
“Based on the bestselling comic book, Vin Diesel stars as Ray Garrison, a soldier recently killed in action and brought back to life as the superhero Bloodshot by the RST corporation. With an army of nanotechnology in his veins, he’s an unstoppable force –stronger than ever and able to heal instantly. But in controlling his body, the company has sway over his mind and memories, too. Now, Ray doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not – but he’s on a mission to find out.”
It’ll be interesting to see how the new Bloodshot film will turn out, especially with the new rating and Vin Diesel attached.
The new Bloodshot adaptation starring actor Vin Diesel will hit theaters on March 13, 2020.
