One of the biggest sequences in the new Morbius trailer occurs at the end when Michael Morbius meets with Adrian Toomes aka Vulture from Spider-Man: Homecoming. The scene marks a massive moment which could indicate a likely connection between both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Sony’s new universe which aside from Morbius also includes Venom and its upcoming sequel. But as some have now began theorizing, it looks like the moment might actually spoil the ending by showing a possible end credits scene for Morbius.
It’s well known that past Spider-Man films have had trailers released by Sony with similar spoilers. As such, it’s not hard to assume that Morbius has been treated the same way. Of course, if we assume that this is an end credits sequence from the film, then it’s likely a setup for a future Sinister Six movie including both Morbius and Vulture.
Of course, we won’t know for sure until the actual movie is released later this year. Hopefully we’ll also have more understanding regarding whether or not the movie actually connects with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In the new movie…
“One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success soon reveals itself to be a remedy potentially worse than the disease.”
Morbius will be hitting theaters on July 31, 2020.
