It’s been a good time to be a fan of Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s What We Do in the Shadows, a horror comedy film about the lives of vampires. As fans of the movie know, FX recently premiered a brand new series inspired by the film last year. The series was a big hit with fans and the network responded by renewing it for a second season back in May. Now the What We Do In The Shadows Season 2 release date has been revealed.
As explained by Deadline,
“The premiere will include the first two episodes, followed by a new episode each subsequent week.”
Both the What We Do in the Shadows film and television series have received a surprising amount of good reviews from both critics and fans. It goes to show what a little creativity and clever writing can do when making a passionate satire on something like vampire lore. It also proves how great and talented of a filmmaker Taika Waititi is, and it’s no wonder why his career has continued to escalate with hit projects like Thor: Ragnarok and the upcoming sequel Thor: Love and Thunder. Let’s just hope that his influence can continue making sure that What We Do in the Shadows will remain a quality product and franchise as the series continues to grow and expand.
What We Do in the Shadows Season 2 will be premiering on FX on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
The second season for What We Do in the Shadows will last for a total of ten episodes.
