The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an incredible and unique experience in cinema. Never has there been such a connected set of individual films with an overarching storyline in Hollywood history. But, after over a decade of success, what does Marvel do to take it to the next level? Well, it would seem they’ve figured that out with the inclusion of mini series on the Disney+ Streaming Service that will directly affect the MCU. And, one of the most anticipated shows coming is WandaVision, a series that will explore the interesting romantic dynamic of Scarlett Witch and the android Vision. With major ties to Dr. Strange Into the Multiverse of Madness, this could very well end up being the most important series on the network.
Now, it looks like we’ll get to see the series even earlier than expected.
According to a Disney+ ‘What’s Coming’ video, WandaVision will be joining The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series in 2020! The video showcases several series and films coming to the new streaming service, including the second season of the highly regarded Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, the live action remakes Aladdin and Lion King, the Lizzie McGuire return, and tons of new series and films made directly for the service. Disney+ is quickly becoming a juggernaut of the streaming world, and Marvel looks to be a cornerstone of their service.
Originally slated for Spring of 2021, it seemed a bit early for WandaVision to already be in production. Now, it seemingly makes sense, as it has been moved up to an earlier release. No exact time is mentioned, and it could very well move back to its original date, but for now, we’ve got two movies and two series from the MCU in 2020, which means that we’re kicking of the new decade in fantastic fashion.
