Christopher Nolan is a film director that loves to keep his movies as mysterious as their massive plots up until they’ve been properly released in theaters. He’s given us films like Memento, Inception, as well as the three movies included in the Dark Knight trilogy. Now the trailer for his next film has been released – and it’s titled Tenet.
While not much is known about Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, it’s been described as “an action epic revolving around international espionage, time travel, and evolution,” which you can get a clear picture of from the trailer down below.
Of course, many plot details are still being kept from viewers, so it may be better to wait until the film’s actual release before we understand the full contents of the movie.
As for the trailer, we know it shows John David Washington’s character using the word Tenet to “open the right doors…some of the wrong ones too” on his secret mission. As for what he’s trying to save the world from, all we know is it’s worse than nuclear holocaust. It definitely sounds like an intriguing scenario, one which director Christopher Nolan should have no problem conveying in his style of filmmaking. Hopefully we see more of the film before its release date and get a better idea of what’s to come.
Tenet hits theaters on July 17, 2020.
Tenet stars John David Washington and Robert Pattinson, with a solid cast behind them. The cast also features Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine, and Kenneth Branagh.
