While Disney usually takes intricate care of their films and attempts to reduce the amount of on screen mistakes as little as possible, there’s always some amount of subtle mistakes that can be found in each one of their movies. With that said, it appears one of their more recent films – Captain Marvel, to be exact – happens to be the most mistake-filled movie of 2019 according to moviemistakes.com.
Apparently the result was processed by taking into account the amount of user-submitted mistakes found within the film. It turns out that they ended up submitting a whopping 59 mistakes, many of which were due to inconsistencies due to the time period the movie takes place in.
While most fans could assume this means Captain Marvel simply isn’t a good movie, that isn’t the case. It actually turns out the next film on their list was Avengers: Endgame which followed closely behind with an equally whopping 51 mistakes. It turns out Disney might not have as close attention to detail as fans would think.
Nevertheless, little production mistakes, continuity errors, and timeline inconsistencies do not always mean a movie is bad. And the same can be said for television shows. For example, one fan recently sighted an exposed boom mic in one of the scenes from The Mandalorian. But nevertheless, the Disney Plus series remains a highly praised use of the Star Wars brand and continues to be a highlight of the Disney Plus streaming service.
Ultimately these types of mistakes just go to show how hard everyone works to make sure they don’t pop up in the rest of the project. There’s a lot of effort that goes into making a movie, and the same goes for massive Marvel blockbusters and the like. Hopefully fans will still appreciate these properties regardless of their errors.
