She-Hulk will be getting her own MCU feature on Disney Plus. Not much has been revealed for the plot. Rumor is that Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role as the Hulk. We’re not sure if he’ll still be Professor Hulk from Avengers: Endgame. Hell, we’re not sure if he’ll be on the show at all. Surely, it will adapt her origin. In the comics, Banner accidentally got his cousin, Jennifer Walters, involved with Gamma Rays. She wasn’t able to revert back to human status as her cousin could. But she remained sophisticated, unlike Hulk. And so, she kept her job as a lawyer. Though recently, she’s become the dumb brute her cousin once was. And now, as a member of the Avengers, she has donned a new costume.
The latest volume of The Avengers has been written by Jason Aaron. The scribe also writes for The Mighty Thor. His take on Jane Foster will be adapted for Thor: Love and Thunder. He culminated his story in this year’s event, War of the Realms. And now, he’s finishing his story about Odinson in King Thor. Then, Donny Cates will take over. The Avengers with She-Hulk have also visited her cousin in The Immortal Hulk.
ComicBook.com says that in Avengers #27, the team was sent to investigate a space prison. And T’Challa helped She-Hulk with a new costume. The new suit was to harness her Gamma Emissions. It’s also to prevent any unwanted explosions. We don’t want those in space.
Purple has been a major part of most of her costumes. In this suit, and in this form, she kind of looks like Ronan the Accuser. This issue was drawn by Ed McGuinness. She-Hulk’s new look really features his love for Jack Kirby. The artist has also worked on Superman/Batman, Deadpool, and Hulk.
The description for this issue reads,
“STARBRAND REBORN Part One: RIOT IN THE SPACE PRISON! Artist Ed McGuinness returns for an epic space adventure that takes the Avengers into an alien prison the size of a galaxy, where a mysterious new wielder of the all-powerful Starbrand has suddenly appeared, unleashing cosmic chaos. Good thing the Avengers brought along their newest member, the Black Widow!”
