Happy Halloween, everybody! Tis the season for ghosts and ghouls, monsters and frights, tricks and treats. It is also the season for horror, terror, and killers. Most horror fans have spent the month of October binging their favorite scary movies, having marathons on classics and new features alike. One of the best horror films in recent memory was the 2018 revival of the Halloween franchise, a sequel 40 years in the making. Now, a new BTS video has surfaced on the official Halloween movie Facebook page, highlighting the upcoming sequel, Halloween Kills.
The video is scored to the classic piano chimes that have heightened the terror of serial killer Michael Myers’ reign of murder for over 4 decades. While the video doesn’t really give us anything in the form of spoilers, it definitely shows off some intriguing moments, including the returning Jamie Lee Curtis on a hospital gurney, covered in blood. The action seems to be heightened, as is pretty much protocol for all horror sequels.
We also get a quick glimpse at Myers, himself, and more rapid fire teases as for what is to come. From all accounts, it looks like Halloween Kills is set to be a successful and proper sequel to the film that helped revitalize a franchise that had started to go off the rails a bit over the years.

The horror movie genre has a tight knit and beloved fanbase, bordering on fanatical. Fans are very critical when it comes to sequels, especially when the first film creates an amazing world of fright. Luckily, we now live in an era where said fans are starting to get to make these sequels themselves, having grown up with the characters and appreciating them properly. By all accounts, Halloween Kills will do the franchise justice, and offer up and amazingly scary sequel we can all enjoy.
