Actors like Chris Evans, Grant Gustin, and Gal Gadot make it look easy to be a superhero. Their characters all have superpowers, for one. And another, they have stunt doubles to do all their work. Though, there’s one who may not have either. Fans started questioning Batwoman‘s Ruby Rose about the scar on her neck. She revealed that she had some emergency surgery due to an accident from her stunt work.
Cinema Blend reported that Rose actually had surgery a few months back. The actress commented on the scar in question.
“To everyone asking about my new Pez dispenser scar on my neck… A couple of months ago I was told I needed an emergency surgery or I was risking becoming paralyzed… I had herniated two discs doing stunts, and they were close to severing my spinal chord. I was in chronic pain and yet couldn’t feel my arms… Thank you Dr Bray for everything you did and for allowing me to keep working and doing what I love. I am forever in your debt. And to anyone asking why I let them video it.. Did you not watch that Grey’s Anatomy episode where they left a towel in a patient?? Also I wanted to see what happens when we go under.”
For the video she mentioned, she posted a clip of her surgery on her Instagram.

It wasn’t said if the accident was from the set of Batwoman, or not. But I’m guessing it was more so from there than Orange Is The New Black. Safer to let the stunt doubles do all the hard stuff, Ruby.
Batwoman will air on the CW on October 6th. And her episode of the anticipated Crisis on Infinite Earths will arrive December 9th. In which, Kevin Conroy will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne. For everything else in the Arrowverse, stay tuned to Screen Geek.
