The D23 Expo has certainly not disappointed fans with all the great information to come out of the event. We got tons of insight into the upcoming Disney+ Streaming Service, news on the next Star Wars film, and lots more on the future on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We learned of new characters like Moon Knight, She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel getting live action adaptations, a release date for Black Panther 2, and our first look at how the Eternals will look on screen. One other reveal from the Marvel side of Disney’s event came from the first film in the MCU’s Phase 4: Black Widow.
It should be pointed out that only some of the footage has made its way online, but we do have pictures of Natasha’s new suit below the video.

While most of the footage shown was the same as what fans got at the Hall H Panel at SDCC, there was some new things to see. We got a lot more on the relationship between Natasha and Yelena Belova (played by Florence Pugh), as well as an overall ‘family’ dynamic involving these two and David Harbour’s Red Guardian. But, the biggest confirmation came from the confirmation that fans will finally get to see the infamous ‘Budapest’ incident.
Long since teased throughout the MCU, Black Widow’s ‘Budapest’ incident is a pivotal point in her life, and something fans have wanted to know more about ever since it was first mentioned in the first Avengers film. And, while it has long since been rumored for this film, we now know for certain that we finally get to see the crazy events of Budapest. The one thing that has been confirmed, nor has it been denied, is whether Hawkeye will make an appearance. He was very much involved in the Budapest event, so it stands to reason he’d be there, but we don’t know anything about a potential cameo just yet.

The other takeaway from this was the new winter based white suit Widow will be donning at one point in a snowy fight against Taskmaster. The stark departure from her traditional black (albeit a tactical choice due to the snow) gives her a unique new look for her final outing in the MCU. All in all, it looks like Phase 4 is kicking off with a huge film that fans will surely love.
