Well, just when we thought that the multiverse was nothing more than a ruse from Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home, Marvel sets us straight with the sequel to the acclaimed Dr. Strange! The sequel, entitled Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, will be coming to theaters May 7th 2021! This opens up the flood gates of possibilities for what is in store for the Sorcerer Supreme! And it would seem that he won’t be alone.
Kevin Feige confirms that Scarlet Witch will also be in the film, and that the events of the WandaVision series on Disney+ will directly affect the film.
This creates amazing opportunities for the MCU, including a chance to bring mutants from another part of the multiverse into the fold. The title also calls to the classic horror film, Into The Mouth Of Madness, so we may be in for a psychological thrill ride of a sequel!
