Many fans of the hit series The Walking Dead have been looking forward each year to Comic-Con, where AMC has annually released trailers for each new season. This year’s Comic-Con is no exception, and AMC has released a brand new trailer for the tenth season of The Walking Dead!
The trailer boasts a surprising new vision for the series, as this season will no longer feature Andrew Lincoln’s character Rick Grimes who led every other season of the series. The season is also stated to be the last to feature Danai Gurira’s Michonne. AMC is certainly looking to shake things up for the show’s future.
While ratings for the series haven’t exactly gone back to their previous heights, AMC apparently has no end in sight for the popular zombie drama. That’s right, so don’t expect this tenth season to be anywhere near the end for our hardened survivors and the undead plague that continues to stalk them.
AMC is not only producing Fear the Walking Dead alongside it, but also have a third series in development, and upcoming TV movies that will apparently tell the continued story of Rick Grimes.
It’s definitely going to be interesting getting to see where things go for The Walking Dead, with all of these projects in production and the comic series officially over. We can only hope that AMC figures out what they’re attempting to do and revive The Walking Dead as the popular zombie epic it started out as.
The Walking Dead will return for its tenth season on AMC this October.
