The Marvel Cinematic Universe has come a long way since actor Robert Downey Jr. first starred in Iron Man back in 2008. The film was a major success for Marvel and paved the way for many future franchises as a result. Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of Tony Stark and Iron Man were obviously a key part of this success, and now that Avengers: Endgame has signified the end to that era of Marvel – Robert Downey Jr. has taken an effort to thank his fans.
Here’s what he said via his Instagram page:
#tbt @avengers Thanx to everyone.. family, friends, fans, cast and crew… #loveyou #3000 #mcu #thankyou #TeamStark

His caption comes alongside an old image of him standing alongside crew member Jimmy Rich, who’s collaborated with Robert Downey Jr. on a variety of films including the titular Avengers: Endgame.
It’s a nice sentiment to see, especially now that fans are experiencing Avengers: Endgame which is essentially the end of the current Infinity Saga – unless you’re counting Spider-Man: Far From Home which will be the true final entry in Marvel’s Phase 3 initiative.
In Marvel’s latest film Avengers: Endgame…
Adrift in space with no food or water, Tony Stark sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply starts to dwindle. Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers — Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Bruce Banner — must figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies for an epic showdown with Thanos — the evil demigod who decimated the planet and the universe.
It’s definitely a strong finale for some of Marvel’s mightiest heroes.
