With all the excitement surrounding the theatrical release of the most most anticipated movie of all time, Avengers: Endgame, in less than a week, fans are preparing for the emotional roller coaster of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 3 Finale. But, they are also looking beyond the horizon towards the future of the MCU, especially with the recent Fox acquisition. Many of Marvel’s finest characters have returned home, and a certain brotherly directing duo wants to bring a certain newly acquired villain to the big screen.
Anthony and Joe Russo, the celebrated directors behind Captain America: Winter Soldier, Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and the upcoming Endgame, have dropped a couple key villain names that they would like to bring to the big screen.
While speaking with SyFy, the Russos brought up Kraven the Hunter and one of Marvel’s greatest villains, Dr. Doom.

While Kraven the Hunter isn’t really possible, as the rights still lay with Sony Pictures, and they are already planning a Kraven film, Dr. Victor Von Doom is one that is now possible, thanks to the recent Disney/Fox merger. Before the merger, the were rumors of a Dr. Doom solo film in the works at Fox, but nothing came of it.
Doom is a complex and fascinating villain of immense intelligence who blends magic and science to his will as he looks to make his home country of Latveria the most powerful nation in the world. His biggest rival, and arch nemesis, is none other than Mr. Fantastic, himself, Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four.
Having the Russos tackle The Fantastic Four and Doom would finally give Marvel’s First Family the on screen presence they so rightfully deserve. While Kevin Feige has said that the Fox properties are still quite a ways off from joining the MCU, having the Russos on board would certainly bump up their timetable with this property. The brothers have proven themselves a true commodity of the MCU, and these true fans would certainly do the FF and Doom justice.
