The Conjuring franchise is quickly shaping up to be a horror movie powerhouse. Aside from the main series of films focusing on the Warrens, we’ve already seen a variety of spin-offs since the franchise’s creation in 2013. The most popular character of these spin-offs, who has become something of a mascot for the series, is Annabelle – a haunted porcelain doll.
Annabelle was the focus for two movies, with plans for a third soon announced after the second movie’s success. Now in a new teaser video, Warner Bros. has revealed the title for the latest movie – Annabelle Comes Home.

In the third solo film featuring the eerie and mysterious doll…
“Determined to keep Annabelle from wreacking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her “safety” behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest’s holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target – the Warren’s ten-year-old daughter Judy (Mckenna Grace), and her babysitters (Madison Iseman and Katie Sarife).”
Director Gary Dauberman and producer James Wan have already spoken about the film, teasing that it’ll be one hell of a third entry for the modern day horror icon.
According to Dauberman…
“I’m still finalizing the script, but it really picks up with the Warrens bringing Annabelle to the place where it can really no longer wreak havoc, which is their artifact room. But, of course, it turns out she can also wreak havoc there. And she really awakens the evil within that room and they target the Warrens’ 10-year-old daughter, Judy. So, that’s the set-up.”
James Wan made the most exciting revelation, however, comparing the movie to Night at the Museum albeit with Annabelle!
“Annabelle basically activates all the other haunted artifacts in that room. So, it’s basically A Night at the Museum, with Annabelle!”
Annabelle Comes Home will be playing in theaters on June 28, 2019.
