Carol Danvers made her big-screen debut only one week ago in Captain Marvel, but it looks like the MCU is ready to give fans more of the Kree warrior, hero. Marvel Studios released the first full-length trailer for Avengers: Endgame on Thursday showing the aftermath of the decimation event that killed half of the universe.
The grim trailer shows Steve Rogers, Black Widow, Iron Man and a multitude of other heroes dealing with the loss of their friends and family. Capping off the end of the trailer however is a brighter, more light-hearted exchange from Thor and Captain Marvel, our first glimpse of Danvers in any Endgame promotional material.
After the intense Endgame logo and Avengers theme plays, we see Captain Marvel staring down one of Earth’s mightiest heroes, The God of Thunder as he summons his new weapon, Stormbreaker. Captain Marvel gives Thor a slight smile as he declares to Black Widow, “I like this one.” Clearly, the two are going to have a mutual friendship in the film.

During this scene Natasha still has her blonde hair, which we see is red earlier in the trailer, meaning the Avengers will likely meet Danvers early in the film.
Captain Marvel’s mid-credits scene showed us a look at this first meeting last week with Danvers arriving at Avengers HQ in her full outfit. As many know, Danvers is responding to the pager that Nick Fury pressed in the end-credit scene of Avengers: Infinity War.
The marketing for the film has been kept under lock and key. Aside from two short teasers, this is the first real look at the movie, even though it is mostly made up from scenes from the past MCU films. Marvel also released a poster for the film and tickets are expected to go on sale soon.
Avengers: Endgame opens in theaters on April 26.
