The Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer has finally hit the internet, after countless faux releases thanks to “Twitter Experts”, and man, it did not disappoint. We get a lot of plot details confirmed, like the Elementals, Jake Gyllenhaal’s comic accurate Mysterio, and possible romance between Aunt May and Happy Hogan, and Nick Fury’s recruitment of Spidey. But, did we also get confirmation of a particular fan theory that suggests a certain Avenger isn’t going to make it out of Avengers: Endgame alive?
While watching the trailer, we see Spidey make an appearance at a charity event, seemingly led by his Aunt May. She caught Peter in his super suit at the end of Homecoming, but has seemingly come to terms with Peter’s hero role. The key point here, however, is the oversized novelty check that Happy brings to award half a million dollars to the homeless. It is from the Stark Relief Fund, but the signature on it may be a big clue. The check is signed by Pepper Potts, and not Tony Stark. Could it be because Stark didn’t survive? There is a long standing rumor that Tony doesn’t make it out alive, and part of Peter’s journey is dealing with the loss of another mentor/father figure.
I’m gonna just ignore the fact that:
– Pepper Potts signed the check from the Stark Relief Foundation
– Peter looked at the suit Tony gave him with sadness in his eyes
– Happy said “You’re all alone”

Now, this may be us fans reading a little too much into nothing, making mountains out of molehills. Potts is the CEO of Stark Industries, and she would most likely be the one to sign these kind of checks for charity anyways. Plus, the check wasn’t from the Stark Memorial Fund, but rather the Stark Relief Fund, which was already established in the Marvel Cinematic Universe back in Age of Ultron. However, Marvel is known to digitally alter their trailers, and the foundation on the check could change come the film’s release.
Regardless of what happens, fans should be really excited for the next solo adventure from everyone’s favorite Wall Crawler in July of 2019 when Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters.
