Wondering and speculating about the Avengers 4 trailer release, we have yet another story to report on – and this time, it features news that will actually make Marvel Cinematic Universe fans feel happy, and not annoyed. The trailer apparently won’t be here this month, but will reportedly be here in December.
According to We Got This Covered:
…despite what we all thought, November will not bring us the first bit of footage from the film. Instead, we’ll now have to wait until December. Speaking to sources close to the studio, We Got This Covered has confirmed that the trailer will not drop on the 30th but will still be with us before 2019. Which obviously means that next month is the last chance for Marvel to release it.
That’s some interesting news, and goes in line with what Kevin Feige said just last month:
OK, here we go, 3 quick questions, answers direct from Kevin Feige’s mouth
1) AVENGERS 4 trailer “before the end of the year”
2) Namor COULD make an appearance, still deciding IF & when
3) GUARDIANS 3 status “on hold”— EWeb, Awards Ace (@ErickWeber) October 26, 2018
It’s also worth pointing out, however, that the Russo Brothers said the trailer might not be here until next year:
“When can we expect to see the Avengers 4 trailer? You may or may not see it before the calendar turns to 2019. We are about halfway through the editing process. We’re really just scratching the surface on all of our VFX shots. There are more than 3000 VFX shots in the movie. Those require a lot of time and thought and energy and effort. We’re very early in that phase of getting VFX done. We just started work with Alan Silvestri on the score. And we’re still editing picture at this point.”
Here’s hoping it happens, and we all finally get to see the trailer. Marvel definitely knows how to keep fans waiting, and it appears that this time, it might be the longest we’ve ever waited for a trailer. I’d say “it better deliver” but at this point, I’m pretty sure we all know that it will.
Avengers 4 hits theaters everywhere in May of 2019.
