Avengers 4 still doesn’t have an official title or trailer, but that apparently hasn’t stopped Marvel Studios from being indecisive about the title they want to give the film. There have been many rumors and much speculation as to what it could be, and it’s still unclear when we’ll actually know. It’s also unclear when the studio will decide on the title.
According to a recent tweet from MCU Cosmic, Marvel has changed the title three times in the last year alone!
It was posted as a rumor. For a title that changed three times over the last year, it’s always possible it changed a fourth time. But I don’t think it did. https://t.co/MuFndUw0qm

If you’re behind on this stuff, there have been three leaked titles so far. Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet, Avengers: End Game and most recently, Avengers: Annihilation. Annihilation is said to be the current title of the film, and given how The Russo Brothers and Kevin Feige have said it will be a title that will scare Marvel Cinematic Universe fans, that would definitely be worthy of it.
It’s worth pointing out that back in May, the Russos said they had decided on a title fairly early on, saying:
“We do have a name for it, we’re just not announcing it… and I think we came to that name fairly early in the development process. It speaks to the heart of the story.”
With Marvel Studios said to be planning a bold marketing strategy for the movie, it’s fair to wonder when exactly we’ll see any type of promotional material for the film. If they wanted to be really bold, they’d hold off anything until the movie came out, or reveal a trailer as the post-credits scene of Captain Marvel.
As with everything MCU related, we’ll just have to wait and see when Avengers 4 hits theaters next year.
