The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a special entity unto itself, creating a connected thread that spans through over 20 films and counting, as well as small screen projects. However, the TV shows, such as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Agent Carter, and the Netflix Marvel series have all sat on the outskirts of said universe, with nothing more than Easter eggs and nods to the great cinematic universe. But now, with Disney creating their own streaming service, a new breed of film connected TV shows are being created. One show that has been confirmed is Scarlet Witch, and now we have a rumor of a possible co star that potentially sets the stage for the show’s dynamic.
Peter Sciretta of SlashFilm has stated that the Vision will be joining Scarlet Witch on the Disney streaming service.
“The other thing I’m hearing is that Paul Bettany‘s Vision will have a large part in the previously reported Scarlet Witch show. In fact, it may actually be a series more about the super-powered couple than just Wanda.”
This adds a great storyline for the show, as a whole. Some of Vision’s and Wanda’s best stories in the comics came from their relationship, so it only seems fitting to explore it further in the series.
We had already heard the news of Loki getting his own show, and earlier this week we learned of a Winter Soldier/Falcon show.
Of course, without seeing what exactly transpires in the still untitled Avengers 4, many fans are curious as to how these shows will work in the first place, but we have faith in what Marvel Studios is doing and that they will handle things quite well.
