New Photos Surface That Point To Ben Affleck Returning As Batman

    By James HaddenSeptember 28, 2018
    Batman Ben Affleck

This past week, all the focus seems to have been on the upcoming Joker film set around Batman‘s longtime adversary. But the question on everybody’s mind is what about the main man himself? When can we next expect to see him on the big screen – and more importantly who will be wearing the cowl when he does? Well thankfully now, we may have an answer to all of these questions. Read on to find out more.

The question of who will be the next Batman is one that has been thrown around a lot as of late, with many expecting last year’s Justice League to be last time we see Ben Affleck in the role. However, a recent post by OC Celebrity Marketing featuring the Good Will Hunting actor hints that he may not be quite done with the role. Check it out below:

Whilst it doesn’t explicitly state anything about Affleck sticking with the role, many have taken the fact that Batman is included in the tags on the post as being a hint that he may still be the Dark Knight. What’s also interesting is that post makes reference to 2019 being ‘an exciting year!’ which brings us to the answer to the other question…

A recent tweet from Umberto Gonzalez has hinted that Matt Reeves‘ Batman film is looking to start production in the middle of next year, with the director currently doing revisions to the film’s screenplay as we speak. You can check out Gonzalez’ tweet below.

LIL BATMAN UPDATE: The studio loves Matt Reeves’ first draft of his BATMAN script, he is currently doing revisions & the film is being eyed for a hopeful summer 2019 production start. Of note, the current DC regime is committed to getting this take on the Caped Crusader correct! pic.twitter.com/PsOBNxxa8T

Until we get any form of official confirmation of the status of both the film itself and Affleck’s tenure as Batman, we can only speculate, but based on these reports, and all of this added up, it seems as though we may be seeing the two in the near future.

What do you think? Do you think Affleck will be back? Will we ever see this film? Let us know below!
