This October a new horror series is coming to Netflix and it looks creepy as hell. It’s called The Haunting of Hill House and it is a reimagining of Shirley Jackson’s novel of the same name. Mike Flanagan is directing the show which spans for ten episodes. This isn’t the first time that the book has been adapted for the screen, 1963 and 1999 bought two separate movies both called The Haunting. This is the first time the book will be made into a series, and you can watch the unsettling trailer below:

In The Haunting of Hill House…
“A modern reimagining of Shirley Jackson‘s iconic novel, “The Haunting of Hill House” explores a group of siblings who, as children, grew up in what would go on to become the most famous haunted house in the country. Now adults, and forced back together in the face of tragedy, the family must finally confront the ghosts of their past — some of which still lurk in their minds while others may actually be stalking the shadows of Hill House.”
Mike Flanagan, Trevor Macy, Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank are executive producing. Meredith Averill is executive producer and showrunner. The show is being produced by Amblin TV and Paramount Television for the Netflix streaming service.
Starring in the series are Michiel Huisman, Carla Gugino, Timothy Hutton, Elizabeth Reaser, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel, Victoria Pedretti, Lulu Wilson, McKenna Grace, Paxton Singleton, Violet McGraw and Julian Hilliard.
The trailer certainly promises a nightmarish and intense series. You can watch The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix from October 12th.
