Captain Marvel saw its first trailer released today, and MCU fans couldn’t more excited. The trailer was great and didn’t really give away much of anything like most trailers seem to do these days.
Marvel fans are on board (for the most part), as seen by some of the initial reactions:
CORPS IM STILL SPEACHLESS! IM JUST WATCHING THE TRAILER AGAIN AND AGAIN #CaptainMarvel

And the internet was talking about she punches an old woman in the face:
my favorite part of the captain marvel trailer is when she punches an old woman in the face with no context while nick fury earnestly monologues over top

Is it wrong for me to say that the best part of the trailer was when Captain Marvel punches an old woman? https://t.co/H9SuMTdiHN

All I can think about is when #CaptainMarvel punches that old woman in the face and how much faith that trailer has in its fans to know “she’s right to do this” and I love everything about that.

That scene where Captain Marvel punches an old woman in a train, that was probably the only Skrull cameo we got (except for the ship, probably)

I’ve watched the captain marvel trailer like four times now, and the part where she punches an old woman (who is obviously a skrull but that’s beside the point) is just very odd and doesn’t fit the tone of everything else??? Besides that, it’s great!

The Brie Larson starring Captain Marvel movie hits theaters everywhere on March 8th.
