Spider-Man: Far From Home Is Marvel Studios and Sony’s second collaboration with everyone’s favorite Web Head. But, after coming off of the emotional and intense Avengers: Infinity War and then the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3 finale, the still untitled Avengers 4, we should expect to see a different, more battle tested Spidey. So, it only makes sense that his second solo adventure would see him filling more than just one villain.
With Jake Gyllenhaal tapped to play Mysterio as the film’s main baddie, two other villains, Hydro Man and Chameleon, have been rumored. Now, there’s the possibility of a fourth villain from the Wall Crawler’s Rogues Gallery: Molten Man.
I swear to god if Molten Man is in Spider-Man: Far From Home I’ll probably die of happiness. pic.twitter.com/lyf2QVj8em

Now, this rumor, from MCU Cosmic, comes from a Lego toy set that is coming out for the film. This, of course, does not solidify his appearance in the film, as these toy lines frequently have more characters than what actually appear in the film. But with Molten Man, also known as Mark Raxton, there is a possible connection to another rumor character for the film in Spencer Smythe. Raxton first appeared in the comics back in Amazing Spider-Man #28, back in 1965.
There is a bit of a ‘too much, too soon’ scare with putting so many characters into the Homecoming sequel. But it also begs the question; What exactly happens in Avengers 4 to cause so many super powered villains to pop up? Will the reversal of the snap cause some sort of shift in the meta-human evolutionary timeline and cause an influx of super beings in the world/universe?
With Far From Home being set immediately after the events of Avengers 4, it’ll be interesting to say the least to see how the latter film affects the Spidey sequel. We’ll just have to wait til May of 2019 and then July of 2019 to finally get our answers.
What do you think of the possible inclusion of Molten Man? Do you have a theory to the influx of new super powered beings? Let us know in the comments below!
