The Predator has seen 2 trailers released for it, and while many complained about the first one, the second one was actually pretty good. It featured a look at the Mega-Predator, as well as some other cool action shots. The final red band trailer that was released today, however, completely blows them both out of the water, and is the Predator trailer we’ve been asking for.
The general fan reaction seems to be pretty positive, too:
I realize we’re all probably tired of the lackluster marketing for #ThePredator, but today’s final trailer is one of my favorite movie trailers of the year. It’s the first trailer that finally feels like “Shane Black’s Predator” and it’s bloody as shit. https://t.co/26S1Tg42sY

Sat quietly watching the new red band trailer for “The Predator” this morning. When it was finished I caught myself saying out loud: “Yup”.

Following rumors of poor test screenings, it was later reported that the entire third act of the film was changed with reshoots – and it appears to have worked, as the film looks pretty great – as far as Predator movies are concerned.
The movie stars Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Thomas Jane, Alfie Allen, Augusto Aguilera and Sterling K. Brown, and is directed by Shane Black.
The film’s synopsis reads:
From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
The Predator hits theaters everywhere on September 14th.
