If you were to think of the most dangerous characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you would think of The Winter Soldier, Black Widow and most definitely Thanos. One name you wouldn’t expect to appear on that list is Virginia Potts, better known to fans as Tony’s better half, Pepper Potts. Yet, that’s exactly what has happened as recent fan study has determined her to be the most dangerous half of the MCU power couple.
The report initially began life on Reddit as a user posted how Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Evangeline Lilly‘s Wasp are the out heroes not to kill anybody on screen. Sure, they may have left a few guys drinking their meals through a straw in hospital, but neither of them have taken a life – which is quite surprising given that Spidey’s suit has an ‘Instant Kill Function’.
The conversation then turned to who was on the opposite side of the spectrum, with people quick to point out that Stark’s former assistant was actually responsible for the death’s of both Obediah Stane’s Iron Monger and Aldrich Killian in Iron Man and Iron Man 3 respectively.
What’s interesting is that Tony actually has no major villain deaths associated with him, it was pointed out that Mickey Rourke’s Ivan Vanko actually killed himself by self destructing his own armor at the climax of Iron Man 2. In fact, Tony isn’t responsible for any named character death until Phase Three’s Avengers: Infinity War, where he took out Ebony Maw.
Naturally, Thanos is the biggest threat to the universe, with his ‘Snap‘ taking out the biggest number of named characters, after that, it looks to be Hela who was responsible for the deaths of four characters in last year’s Thor: Ragnarok.

We will need to see if it requires updating when Captain Marvel, the 21st film in the franchise, hits theaters on March 8th, 2019.
