Suspiria follows a young ballet dancer named Suzy Bannion, who hopes to pursue her dream at an odd yet prestigious dance school. Suzy soon discovers that all is not how it seems. The dance school is being run by a mysterious coven of witches and many strange events begin unfolding right in front of Suzy’s eyes.
Suspiria stars Dakota Johnson as the lead, Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Lutz Ebersdorf and Chloe Grace Moretz. Thom Yorke of Radiohead has composed the score for the film. The original movie was directed by Dario Argento and starred Jessica Harper.
The official plot summary for the mysterious film reads…
“A darkness swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the artistic director, an ambitious young dancer, and a grieving psychotherapist. Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up.”
Suspiria will premiere at the Venice Film Festival and Amazon Studios will open the movie in New York and Los Angeles on October 26. Nationwide release will be on November 2.
