Season eight of American Horror Story will be coming to our screens on September 12 in American Horror Story: Apocalypse. The title of the season was recently revealed to be American Horror Story: Apocalypse and with that we got a glimpse at the new theme in the form of a creepy promotional poster. Now the first teaser trailer for the season has been released and you can watch it below:
Although it lacks any actual footage from the show, the trailer opens with a fetus inside an hourglass and ends with the clawed hand that we recognize from the poster, turning over an hourglass filled with skulls. This teaser trailer certainly follows in the creepy footsteps of all the American Horror Story teasers that came before it.
This season will be a crossover between fan favourites, season one’s Murder House and season three’s Coven. It has been confirmed that Jessica Lange will be returning for her role as Murder House‘s Constance Langdon, Tate’s mother who was left to raise his anti-christ child at the end of the first season. Actor Cody Fern will play the grown-up version of the evil child, Michael Langdon.
Sarah Paulson will be reprising her roles from both seasons, Cordelia Foxx and Billie Dean Howard and Emma Roberts will play the witch Madison Montgomery. Also confirmed for the show are Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Joan Collins, Cheyenne Jackson, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Billy Eichner and Adina Porter. Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman and Kyle Allenboth have guest roles in Apocalypse.
