Kevin Feige Says MCU Will Soon Have More Female Heroes Than Male Heroes

    By Frank PalmerJune 27, 2018
    MCU Females Marvel Cinematic Universe

The MCU seems to get better with every single movie that’s released, as each movie seems to be different and unique each time. That doesn’t seem likely to change any time soon, as it’s been said the Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue to get different. Kevin Feige recently revealed that it’s about to feature a lot more females. A lot more.

While speaking to Screen Rant, Feige said:

“But, as the plan goes forward I think frankly we’ll be … you know, eventually I think we’re going to reach a time where it’s not just … listen, it would be amazing to see all of our female characters the way we have seen … most, never all male, but primarily male. I think we’re getting to the point soon where we have so many great female characters that those are just our heroes as opposed to when are they all female, all male. It’s just the Marvel heroes, more than half of which will be women.”

He’s also said that there will be different types of heroes in the future:

“Brand new heroes, new types of heroes, continuing what we see in Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Black Panther, and Captain Marvel. Who a hero can be, and should be, and seeing all different types of heroes.”

It’s obvious that Captain Marvel and Black Panther will be a big part of whatever Marvel decides to do, and with the quality films that the studio keeps releasing, we’ll just have to trust that they know exactly what they’re doing, as they haven’t exactly shown that they don’t at this point.
What do you think of this news? Are you looking forward to a more female centered Marvel Cinematic Universe? Tell us all of your thoughts on the subject in the comments down below!
