The first footage from the highly anticipated Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 has just been screened at the CineEurope event currently going on in Spain. But, before you get your hopes up however, I should probably warn you that details on exactly what was shown haven’t hit the web just yet although based on the first reactions – it was impressive.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige was on hand to present footage from Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 which are both set for release next year. Unfortunately, there haven’t been any details released as of yet, but it’s hard to imagine that they will stay secret for long. Security at the event is said to be strict, with audience members having to lock their devices away.
Thankfully some reactions have found their way online, which express some excitement for the upcoming projects. One tweet quotes a line from the footage show which states “Captain Marvel is about to take the lead in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe,” whilst the other enthused about the film with the translated tweet revealing, “The trailer Captain Marvel has been exhibited on the CineEurope 2018! As soon as something else is known about the public.”

Hopefully the footage, or at least a description of what was shown, will be finding it’s way online in the near future. With Disney not taking part in this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego, it’s likely this will be one of the only times they can debut footage to a crowd. It may be that the Studio wants to get Ant Man and the Wasp out of the way before debuting Captain Marvel on the screen.
Captain Marvel hits theaters next March with Avengers 4 following in May. Be sure to follow ScreenGeek for any update on footage.
