Tim Miller, director of the first Deadpool film, is starting to work on his latest project, Terminator 6. This film plans to ignore all the other films after T2: Judgement Day and show the ramifications of said film. As shooting kicks off in Madrid, Spain, behind the scenes pics of the returning Linda Hamilton have already surfaced, and now a new pic on Twitter from Bloody Disgusting seemingly confirms that Jude Collie will be a young John Connor.
The photo also confirms the involvement of Brett Azar, who played the younger Arnold Scharwzenegger in the lackluster Terminator: Genysis. This lends credence that the story will at least partially take place in the 90’s, perhaps showing an early T 800 model on a production line.
Miller is expected to bring a fresh take to the Terminator franchise which has not had much success after the first two installments (out of five). As mentioned before, this film will be a soft reboot, ignoring the events of the last three films and focusing on the first two to spring board a possible new franchise off of for future films.
The Tim Miller helmed and James Cameron backed project will star the aforementioned Carter and Collie, as well as Gabriel Luna (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as the new Terminator model. Look for the film to hit theaters in November of 2019.
