    ‘Avengers 4′ Leak Potentially Reveals Thanos’ New Look

    The writers of Avengers: Infinity War, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, proclaimed Infinity War was Thanos‘ film, but it seems his rein will be coming to end in Avengers 4. Concept art for Thanos in the upcoming film has recently been leaked and based off of the image, it’s safe to assume the events of Infinity War have left him weaker, as he wields a new alien weapon.

    While it’s unsure whether or not the source is credible, the concept art is believed to be real since the image was posted along with another piece of concept art featuring the Avengers who survived Thanos’ snap at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.

    In the concept art of Thanos, the Mad Titan can be seen wielding a grand, gaudy weapon that appears to be an alien sword. While the weapon adds to Thanos’ already threatening appearance, it almost seems unnecessary since he still wears the Infinity Gauntlet on the opposite hand.

    In Avengers: Infinity War, the Infinity Gauntlet allowed Thanos to have all of the power of the infinity stones at his disposal, giving him the ability to turn back time with the Time Stone and alter reality with the Reality Stone. It makes you wonder then why someone with this kind of power would want such a primitive weapon as a sword (albeit an alien one) at his side.

    With this in mind, the concept art could be revealing that the Infinity Gaunlet was truly destroyed at the end of Avengers: Infinity War after Thanos’ snap. While the Infinity Gaunlet appears to be intact in the concept art, Thanos could be brandishing it simply to dupe his enemies into thinking he still has the use of the infinity stones while the sword is his only source of protection.

    Not only is the sword suggestive of Thanos’ vulnerability, but his armor is indicative of this as well. In the concept art, Thanos can be seen wearing a more protective armor that covers the full length of his arms and legs. Not only does it suggest that Thanos is ready to get back into battle with the remaining Avengers, donning a more official military-looking uniform, but it also implies he may need the extra protection.
