Avengers 4 is less than a year away from release, but buzz is non-stop about the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film. Avengers: Infinity War left us wanting more, despite how shocking the film was when you really think about it. Apparently, though, Avengers 4 is going to be more shocking than Infinity War was, according to one of the film’s main stars.
Chris Hemsworth (Thor) recently spoke to Esquire, and revealed:
“If you were shocked by [Infinity War], I think the second one is even more shocking, for other reasons entirely. That’s what kind of blew me away the first time I read both scripts, is how they managed to orchestrate so many different characters but give them each their own separate shot and moments, and have it be elevated and feel fresh and unique – not just like a messy, thrown-together assembly of these guys.”
It’s fair to wonder if Marvel will be including psychiatric care for fans after this one is over. We know that the upcoming slate of films in the MCU will definitely be different, but Avengers 4 is said to be a big ending to the current storylines that began in 2008 with the first Iron Man movie. As Kevin Feige recently said:
“Characters like Spider-Man or Batman or James Bond or Iron Man, who have been around for so long and are always refreshed in comic books or novels or movies, you don’t necessarily get that kind of an endpoint — and we wanted to do that, which is what these next two Avengers films are. It doesn’t mean the MCU is coming to a close, by any means. But it means the narrative that started when we began 10 years ago will have a conclusion.”
Whatever happens, we’re sure Marvel Studios knows what they’re doing – based on their wonderful history of work. The more recent films just keep getting better and better, it seems. Whatever happens, as with everything Marvel related, we’ll just have to wait and see what’s in store for us.
Avengers 4 hits theaters everywhere on May 3rd, 2019.
