Many fans remember the black Spider-Man suit from popular Marvel Comics, as well as the animated Spider-Man series in the 90’s. Some may also recall his appearance in the atrocity that was Spider-Man 3 – though most of us would rather just forget that even happened, as hard as that might actually be to do. It turns out, however, that the iconic suit almost had a much different look to begin with:
The following picture has recently surfaced on Reddit, showing us a design that was almost used:

It’s definitely an interesting look, and while the red and black does look pretty cool, I’m glad they went with the way they ultimately decided to go. It’s pretty interesting to think about what Venom would have looked like with the black and red colors, but then again – we got Carnage, who turned out to be a very cool character.
Here’s hoping we can one day see this storyline executed on the big screen (or the small screen), in a much better fashion than what Spider-Man 3 gave us. Ultimately, that doesn’t appear to be happening any time soon, as the MCU is currently using Spider-Man – and Sony is working on their own Spider-Man Universe – without Spider-Man. Maybe it’ll be better than it sounds. Anything can happen, right?
What do you think of the alternate design for the black Spider-Man suit? Do you like it better than the original? Be sure to tell us all of your thoughts on it in the comment section down below!
