Some of you may remember the Galaga guy in the first Avengers film. He was a S.H.I.E.L.D agent and apparently had better things to do than his job at the time. Well, it turns out that his fate has been laid out for us and fans shouldn’t be eager to find this out.
If I have to warn that this contains Avengers: Infinity War Spoilers still, then A) you clearly need to get to the theater and see the film already – and B) you need to stop opening up websites that gear towards this stuff, but alas, Spoiler alert.
‘Infinity War’ ended with people leaving the film with their brains swishing around trying to figure out what just happened. The film not only promised to emotionally mess us up, it delivered. We watched half the population disintegrate in front of our eyes due to Thanos and we lost some brilliant Avengers. Not only did Tom Holland’s Spider -Man leave people in a ball of sadness – what Chris Pratt‘s Peter Quill did was nothing short of piss us all off. However, what about those we didn’t see? What happened to the silent yet crucial characters in these films?
The Head of Marvel Studios and the power behind The Marvel Cinematic Universe, Kevin Feige, alongside the talented co-directors Joe and Anthony Russo, have started answering the questions about the characters we did not see.
We have been told that Korg and Valkyrie (Thor: Ragnarok) managed to slip through the disappearing act so many others had to face. However, we lost the gamer of the bunch, the Galaga Guy. According to Joe Russo, he died doing what he loved and that is all fans can truly ask for, but any true gamer would know that you don’t want to miss the chance to beat your high score!
“He got snapped in the middle of a Galaga game. He was seconds away from his all-time high score… He’s gone.”
While everyone seems to be trying to use humor to get past the events of Infinity War and Thanos succeeding in his evil plan, it still is never easy to hear that we lost another one. Ant-Man and the Wasp are currently up in the air and with that, we can only hope for good news. Avengers 4 will be released in theaters next year, so buckle down and keep yourselves busy until we finally get all the answers we have been waiting for.
Also, I used precious time to ask about the fate of Galaga guy from the first Avengers. Spoiler, but … RIP Galaga guy. pic.twitter.com/qNQpxL5fHN
