Back in November, a very bizarre report came to light with actress Allison Mack, most famously known for her role as Chloe Sullivan on the Smallville series. She had been accused of being a high-level recruiter in an abusive sex cult, and that she also served as a key spokesperson for the group as well.
Things have taken an even darker turn now, as according to NY Daily News, Mack has been arrested for her connection:
Allison Mack, the “Smallville” actress connected to alleged cult leader Keith Raniere, has been arrested according to court sources. Details on the arrest were not immediately clear. Brooklyn federal prosecutors have charged Raniere with sex trafficking. Raniere’s lawyers say he’s innocent.
When you dig a little deeper into this, a March report from NY Post talked about what Frank Parlato, the person who broke this case initially, said – while also speaking about the other Smallville actress involved, Kristin Kreuk:
“Kreuk had come first, sometime around late 2005, early 2006.”
He continues:
“Allison was used, as was Kristen, as a lure to bring in other women because of their celebrity status.”
He added:
“Kreuk was also in the inner circle, but branding was a later addition to Raniere’s abuse of women.”
Before finishing by saying:
“She started as a slave and she became a slave master. Her nickname among defectors is ‘Pimp Mack.’”
The report also states the following:
Kreuk severed ties with the group in 2012, soon after the Albany Times Union wrote of allegations that Raniere had sex with underage girls.
But Mack stayed on and, according to Parlato, helped come up with the idea of sizzling the “brand” into initiates’ skin, near their groins, as they were held down. About 2-by-2-inches, the mark combined Raniere’s initials, KR, with Mack’s, AM.
It’s all very shocking and bizarre, and I can’t say I’m surprised that Mack ended up being arrested. Raniere, the leader of the group, was arrested late last month. Further details about the sex cult can be found here.
