We all know that Avengers: Infinity War is going to feature deaths for some prominent MCU characters, but who – and when? While we don’t have the exact answer to either of those questions, we do have some info that can at least help prepare Marvel fans for what’s going to happen.
We’ve been informed by a reliable source that something very bad happens at the beginning of the movie:
The beginning of Avengers: Infinity War features the death of a major Marvel character. Some fans will be expecting it, while others will be blindsided. It sets the tone for the rest of the movie – as well as the future of the MCU. It’s good that the Russo Brothers are telling fans to be emotionally prepared for the film – because they’ll definitely need to be. Whether you’re expecting it or not, it’s going to be BIG.
This echoes similar comments by Kevin Feige, who said that Thanos does something terrible in the opening of Infinity War. He’s also said that any deaths in the film will be permanent.
The most logical character we’d see to would have to be Loki. If the film picks up after Thor: Ragnarok, we know Thanos has Thor and Loki, and based on the footage given, it looks as though Loki makes the most sense. Loki has the Tesseract – something Thanos obviously wants. The main theory going around is that he sacrifices himself, to save the rest of the Asgardians captured.
Either way, fans should be prepared to say goodbye to some of their favorite MCU characters. As we mentioned before, the Russo Brothers are already telling fans to be emotionally prepared. Hopefully, this will help.
What do you think of this? Which character do you think it’ll be? Be sure to tell us your thoughts in the comments!
