We’re on the fast track now to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’s release date. In order to pump up audiences for the new (and likely final) trailer that’ll hit this Wednesday, Universal has released another promo with all sorts of new footage. And it has a lot of emphasis on the film’s horror elements.

It opens with a shot of Chris Pratt’s character and a rather unstable T-Rex, before giving us a look at some of the film’s other dinosaur baddies. This includes the hybrid Indoraptor and the now-iconic Mososaurus. In fact, we get to see the Mosasaurus approach a group of unsuspecting surfers. Watch out, Jaws. Yikes. And, of course, we get to see Jeff Goldblum’s character Ian Malcom welcome the audience to Jurassic World.
As we all know, the volcanic eruption from the trailers is only the first hour of the film. The rest is intended to go elsewhere with the story, and one can only assume that it’s bringing dinosaurs to the mainland. If so, it means all new terrifying scenarios for the dinosaurs to take part in.
The whole point of the original Jurassic Park was to suggest that maybe humans shouldn’t revive dinosaurs and bring them back into the food chain. Well, now we’re going to see the consequences of that.
In the film…
Four years after the destruction of the Jurassic World theme park, Owen Grady and Claire Dearing return to the island of Isla Nublar to save the remaining dinosaurs from a volcano that’s about to erupt. They soon encounter terrifying new breeds of gigantic dinos while uncovering a conspiracy that threatens the entire planet.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits theaters June 22, 2018.
