A lot of fans have been asking where in the f*ck Hawkeye is in the midst of all this insane Avengers: Infinity War promotion? Saying that he’s basically non-existent. While that’s essentially true, it’s been brought to our attention that the character WAS actually in some promotional material. CBR has dug up the Vanity Fair covers that were released for the film – and there is Jeremy Renner:
As far as where he is in the actual movie itself, The Russo Brothers spoke about the character last month, saying:
Joe Russo: “Coming out of Civil War, he’s in the same position that Cap and Falcon are at the end of that movie. And Ant-Man. Coming into this movie, you know… Characters on Cap’s side coming out of the Civil War, some made certain decisions and others made other decisions that led to different paths in them dealing with oversight in this movie in a different way. So Hawkeye’s on his own journey in this movie.”
Anthony Russo: “Yeah. He has a unique reaction to the civil war situation that puts him in a special spot in this film.”
We’ll know for sure when the film hits theaters everywhere on April 27th. Until then, expect more fan made Hawkeye posters to come about featuring only Hawkeye. But hey – that’d make for one exciting movie, right?
