In the day and age of binge-watching our favorite shows it is no surprise that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is bringing us a marathon to get us ready for the new Avengers: Infinity War. Today it was revealed that AMC Theatres will be supplying a 31-hour marathon that will house the majority of MCU’s movies (rumored with time constraints that it will not be all movies) and will prepare us for the event we have all been waiting for.
AMC is quickly on its way to becoming one of the largest theater providers in the world, and with their variable pricing and reserved seating, they have quickly turned many eyes towards them. With this up and coming marathon, they are sure to bring in a few extra dollars from the MCU fans out there. Of course, you need the stamina to endure such a long event, but you are not fooling anyone to say you have not come close when binge watching on Netflix at some point.
The marathon details have not been released, so there is no certainty if they will cut movies and if that is the case which movies will be removed. There is speculation made that they will most likely not play The Incredible Hulk, and that makes sense since MCU doesn’t own the rights to that character. With that speculation comes the reality that Disney doesn’t technically have the movie rights to Spider-Man either, who knows what could happen there. Regardless, there are 31 hours to fill and the run time of all Marvel movies added together is slightly larger than that.
Even if AMC chooses not to play certain MCU movies, it will be one packed event and one worth going to. There is still no information on tickets but with Avengers tickets hitting the market soon, we can assume that details will be released either at the same time or close to. Infinity War is in theaters April 27th, so it will not be long until more information is available!
Stay tuned for more information on the marathon and when tickets can be purchased, we will keep you updated along side us.
What movies would you be okay with if they cut? Do you think you could withstand a 31-hour marathon? Be sure to tell us what you think in the comments!
