Black Panther was a massive success both critically and financially and is already the highest grossing Marvel Cinematic Universe movie to date – which says a lot. Naturally, people were wondering about Black Panther 2, and when we would get it. Well, in a recent interview with EW, Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige revealed that we will in fact be getting a sequel to the beloved film:
“Nothing specific to reveal, other than to say we absolutely will do that. One of the favorite pastimes at Marvel Studios is sitting around on a Part One and talking and dreaming about what we would do in a Part Two. There have been plenty of those conversations as we were putting together the first Black Panther. We have ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one.”
Feige has also revealed that he’d love for Ryan Coogler to return as director.
SO, in terms of who dies and who lives in Avengers: Infinity War, we can mark Chadwick Boseman‘s character in the “live” category – though who really expected him to die? We do know that a few major Avengers won’t make it out, though, as recent comments from Robert Downey Jr. suggest:
“Believe me, I’m tired of every movie, you know, “It’s the end! It’s Armageddon! It’s the Be All, End All, Forever!” And then it’s… not. This one actually is. They’re not kidding. This is a heads-will-roll scenario.”
Whatever happens, we’ll for sure find out when Infinity War hits theaters on April 27th. Black Panther 2 is yet to have a release date, but we’ve speculated as to when it can be released.
