Last week it was was revealed through Josh Brolin’s Instagram that the highly anticipated Deadpool 2 would be undergoing reshoots in the near future. Now, reports are coming in that filming will be taking place under a pretty random working title.
The latest report comes via Omega Underground who have revealed that reshoots for the film are set to take place in Vancouver, although they do not specify when exactly they will take place, although given the film’s release date was recently moved forward from June 1st to May 18th, it may need to take place sooner rather than later.
The report also revealed that filming would be going under the title ‘Daisy‘, although what relation this name has to the actual film is currently unknown, although given the irreverent nature of the titular character it probably has nothing to do with it. It should also be noted that production has gone by the names, ‘Love Machine‘ and ‘Caribbean Blue‘ so we probably shouldn’t be looking into it too hard.
Last week also saw the film’s second trailer released, focussing predominantly on the time-travelling mutant, Cable, which is the role Brolin is back training for. The trailer also revealed a few tidbits about what we can expect from the film, including what looks like some previously unannounced characters such as Shatterstar and G.W. Bridge (thought to be played by Bill Skarsgård and Terry Crews respectively) whilst also highlighting that we will be seeing the same whacky antics from the Merc with a Mouth.
It’s not unusual for films to undergo reshoots so this isn’t something that fans should be worried about. Hopefully we will find out more when filming actually begins in the near future. The currently Untitled Deadpool Sequel is set to hit theatres May 18th.
