Whenever a trailer for a popular movie hits the internet, fans have a ton of interesting reactions. Whenever it’s something like Star Wars or a comic book movie, the reactions are one-hundred times more interesting. That seems to be the case with the new trailer for the upcoming Venom movie trailer, which was released this morning.
Reactions ranged from good to bad, including a group of fans starting a boycott for the movie. Check out the best reactions below:

Imagine this:
What if, in the Venom movie, Eddie Brock never fully becomes Venom until the final scene of the film. Basically, it’s just Tom Hardy spazzing out through out the whole movie. pic.twitter.com/iHilTtDHLR

If it’s too early to even show a single shot of the title character in your trailer… maybe just don’t release a trailer? #Venom

Re: #Venom trailer.
I get that Sony either doesn’t want to or can’t show much, but if you’re gonna drop a trailer full of nothing you have to have at least ONE shot that makes me go “Whoa! You have my attention.”
There was nothing like that. 😐

Only good part of that Venom trailer was tom hardy’s accent.

So no actual showing of Venom, you cast Tom Hardy doing a weird accent, and it’s not going to be linked to MCU anyway so very few people are going to care. Does it even link to the Amazing Spider-Man films? If not is there any point you doing this at all?

Sounds like Tom Hardy is using the same accent he used in The Drop. Funny. @VenomMovie (Also, watch The Drop. DAMN good movie.)

I thought it did a good job of presenting it as a character-based story and leaving most to the imagination for now. Plus, Tom Hardy doing his Queens accent from The Drop again is a great move

It wasn’t until I watched the ‘Venom’ teaser that I realised that a lot of my attraction towards Tom Hardy is based on his accent. (does that sentence even make sense? My brain is fried today) Just…. Wish he could have kept the English accent.
— Maja (@MajaBaek) February 8, 2018
Tom Hardy why is your go-to American accent somewhere between Brooklyn and desperation? 😂😂 #Venom
— Kat (@Wickedlydeeper) February 8, 2018
Just watched the #Venom trailer & got a resounding meh from me. Still excited but I wished we could’ve seen just a little tease of what Venom will look like in this new version. Also, while I like Tom Hardy, his American accent might take some getting used to

Venom trailer looks 🔥🔥🔥 and naturally Tom Hardy’s NY accent is perfection cause what can’t he do 😍
— Lisa Nicole (@vivaladeadly) February 8, 2018
I can’t tell if the accent Tom Hardy is using in the #Venom trailer is adorable or exactly what I always thought Eddie Brock sounded like.

*Let’s debut a Venom teaser without showing Venom*

Ah, now eventually you DO plan to have Venom in your, in your VENOM movie, right? Hello? pic.twitter.com/4yHXRY38f6

IMAGINE for a second that Tomorrow we get the First Captain Marvel Teaser Trailer And it features No Suit, flight or her powers… You would all fn destroy Marvel for it and headline “Captain Marvel in development Trouble” would be the headlines. That’s #Venom

I mean, if *I* were doing a Venom trailer I’d probably tease the actual symbiote, since it’s what makes the character fun and unique and lots of people don’t know about it? But maybe there’s a big audience for Tom Hardy in a CT scanner ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

“Sir, should we put Venom in this Venom trailer?”
“DID THEY PUT DINOSAURS IN THE FIRST JURASSIC PARK TRAILER?”
“Yeah, like, all of them.”
“OK … WELL…. THE CGI ISN’T READY BUT BLACK PANTHER IS NEXT WEEK AND TOM HARDY’S BACK AND NECK ARE ITS OWN SPECIAL EFFECT.” https://t.co/zdhmUzYqrE— Greg Wyshynski (@wyshynski) February 8, 2018
